Overview

What is the Summer Ulpan (Hebrew University)?

For more than 50 years, HUJI’s Summer Ulpan has taught intensive Modern Hebrew with native-speaking instructors, alongside field trips, cultural activities and guest lectures in Jerusalem. You complete a full level of Hebrew during the summer (unless you’re starting without the Hebrew alphabet) and receive a transcript and credit. A post-exemption Level Vav course is offered for students working on literary and academic Hebrew. Attendance is mandatory.

There’s no dedicated olim subsidy listed for the ulpan alone, but olim pay the citizen rate.
