What is the Life Sciences Preparatory Program (pre-med)?

The program gives graduates from any field the science foundation for medical studies and lets them apply to Reichman’s four-year MD program, subject to its admission requirements and screening. It’s modular: depending on your background you choose which core courses, Hebrew ulpan and exam preparation to take. Reichman is clear that finishing it does not guarantee admission to medical school.

Curriculum

What you’ll study.

Two semesters of science, plus optional ulpan and exam preparation.

Semester 1

Chemistry and core sciences

Foundations of Chemistry (4 credits), Biochemistry (4), Cell Biology (4), Statistics in Medicine with tutorial (4) and Genetics (3).

Semester 2

Physiology and molecular sciences

Physiology (4 credits), Molecular Biology (4) and Microbiology (4).

Exam prep

Knowledge Exam workshop (8 credits)

A three-month intensive, then a four-day review marathon before the exam, in Hebrew or English. The fee includes registration for Reichman’s Knowledge Exam.
